Programme Timeline
Beginnings – 2019
The Occupational Therapy Journal Club programme is an educational innovation project for undergraduate and master’s students in occupational therapy that aims to design and implement this programme to encourage students to read and critically evaluate scientific publications and improve their debating skills.
Therefore, in the 2019/20 academic year, we applied to the University Educational Innovation Programme of the Vice-Rectorate for Studies at Miguel Hernández University for the project ‘Implementation of a Journal Club in Occupational Therapy’.
2019-2020
The funding allowed us to develop and launch the Journal Club programme.
The programme consisted of attending three Journal Club sessions to critically evaluate a scientific article in each 90-minute session, completing some readings and activities prior to the session, and participating in an initial and final evaluation of the programme.
In addition to the sessions with students, a Journal Club session was held in the 2019-20 academic year with the teaching staff of the Occupational Therapy degree programme at Miguel Hernández University.
2020-2021
In the 2020-21 academic year, we ran a Journal Club programme as part of the winter courses at Miguel Hernández University.
2024-2025
In the 2024-25 academic year, we will run a Journal Club programme through the winter courses at Miguel Hernández University.
2025
Los días 20, 23 y 29 de Julio del 2025 realizamos un programa de Journal Club de Terapia Ocupacional “Infancia Basada en la Evidencia” para profesionales de Perú.
